Duke University Museum of Art Docents
The Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University fosters the understanding and appreciation of the visual arts by providing direct experiences with original works of art supported by a range of exhibitions, programs and publications for the university and the broader community. DUMC - Auxiliary Services
Auxiliary Services was founded in 1950 as a service to the patients, visitors, and personnel of Duke Hospital. Today, 500 volunteers make it possible for DUMC to provide a broad range of services designed to meet patient and visitor needs. Auxiliary Services is responsible for services ranging from the hospital gift shops to the Rock-A-Baby program.

The Duke Cancer Patient Support Program offers counseling, support groups, companionship, educational resources, and a wig and turban program to help patients and families cope with the impact of cancer on their lives. The Child and Adolescent Life staff works in coordination with other staff to provide the emotional well-being and optimal development of pediatric patients and families in the hospital setting. DUMC - Heart Center Patient Support Program
The Heart Center Support Program provides emotional support for patients who are undergoing treatment for heart disease, their spouses, other family members, and visitors. Volunteers who are former heart patients or spouses of former heart patients provide support by orienting patients to the medical center, assisting families with lodging arrangements, providing information on hospital services, and sharing their experiences with heart disease. The Center also offers classes and support groups, recreational resources, and a library.

DUMC - Volunteer Services
Volunteers help in a variety of ways. Some volunteers have a great deal of patient contact, providing patients and families much needed emotional support, while others give of their time to support fund raising efforts. Volunteer Services matches volunteers with 25 different programs in DUMC.
