Emergency Energy Fund - Community Development Council of Durham
The Emeregency Energy Fund helps qualified households with the cost of energy arrears, security deposits, and reconnection costs owed to utility providers. The program provides interest-free loans to qualified Durham residents who are usually able to afford their energy costs, but due to unexpected financial pressures or unanticipated cost increases are unable to pay their heat or hydro bills for one or two months. Applicants pay back the Emergency Energy Fund at a rate that is affordable to them.
